Create Drafted Details

To draft details that are not based on the building information model, use a drafting view.

In Revit, most views of the building model show elements from the model.

• Create an empty drafting view.

  Create a drafting view that is not associated with the parametric building model.

• Draft the details.

  Use detailing tools to draw the desired details.

• Link a callout to the drafting view.

  Create one or more callouts in other views to point to the drafting view.
