Autodesk Assistant

Use the AI-guided Autodesk Assistant when searching help or have the assistant give you options to contact support.

What is the Autodesk Assistant?

Autodesk Assistant is an AI-guided natural language search tool found in Revit Help. If you are not able to find the answer you are looking for using the Autodesk Assistant, then you can use it to connect to a support agent with a support case or a live chat.

Why should you use it?

You may find it easier to search the help using natural language rather than trying to guess certain keywords to give you good results. The Autodesk Assistant is also powered in the back end by an AI and machine learning to give better results over time as more customers use it. You can also easily connect with support if you are not able to find an answer with your search. This can save time when you need to file a support request to help resolve your issue.

How do I access the Autodesk Assistant?

When you launch Help from within Revit either by pressing F1 or from the InfoCenter, Help will be launched in your default browser. In the lower right corner of the browser window, you will see the Autodesk Assistant . Click to launch the assistant.

Note: The Autodesk Assistant is currently in Tech Preview and is only available for Standard or Premium subscription customers using English Revit. You must access the product Help from within Revit to use the Autodesk Assistant.
Once you launch the assistant, use the chat box to ask it a detailed question. Use natural language as if you were asking colleague the question. Review the answers given and click a link to display the topic. Ask the assistant additional question to further refine your search.

If you would like to connect with a Product Support agent, click "Connect with an agent" in the chat dialog and you will be directed to create a case.
