About P&ID Modeler for Revit

P&ID Modeler for Revit streamlines the process for modeling in Revit based on P&IDs and ensures consistency between the P&ID drawing and the Revit model.

Use P&ID Modeler for Revit to:

P&ID Modeler for Revit is intended to replace the manual workflow of creating a 3D model with the guidance of a printed P&ID drawing. Use it to create a 3D piping model directly from a 2D P&ID. Status indicators make it easy to track what has been modeled and what remains to be modeled.

When you use P&ID Modeler for Revit to create a 3D model, you view the P&ID drawing in Revit. Since the P&ID resides in the cloud, you must log in with your Autodesk Account to access the P&ID.

Notes:

Use the P&ID Settings dialog to manage the mappings between elements, such as services and families, between the P&ID project and Revit.

As you create the 3D model for the P&ID, Revit tracks which lines are complete and which are still in progress. Revit detects and displays a warning when there is an open connection or if there is a mismatch between the parts in the P&ID drawing and the Revit model.
