Open a P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram) when you need to create a 3D model in
Revit.

In
Revit,
open the model that corresponds to the P&ID you want to model.
- Click Systems tab P&ID Collaboration panel P&ID Modeler. In the P&ID Modeler palette, you can also click Start Modeling.
- If prompted, log in to your
Autodesk Account.
- In the Open Collaboration Project dialog, select a
Autodesk Docs project.
- Select an
AutoCAD Plant 3D project and click Open Project.
The preview pane of the P&ID Modeler palette displays the drawings in the project.
- Select a P&ID drawing and click Next, or simply double-click the drawing.
A preview of the drawing displays in the top pane. A list of pipe lines displays in the bottom pane.
Tip: Press the Backspace key to return to the previous view.
- Model the P&ID in Revit.
- To return to the list of P&ID drawings, click Home.
