Use these techniques to modify and manipulate elements in the drawing area to achieve the desired design for the building model. Many of these tools are available on the Modify tab of the ribbon.

Undo an Action
Use the Undo tool to cancel the most recent action or a series of recent actions.
Redo an Action
The Redo tool reinstates all actions canceled by Undo. After reinstating the actions, the current tool continues.
Cancel an Action
There are several methods to exit an action that you have already started.
Repeat Last or Recent Command
You can repeat the command that was last used, or select from a list of recently used commands.
Groups of Elements
You can group elements in a project or family and then place that group many times in a project or family.
Arrays of Elements
The Array tool creates a linear or radial array of selected elements.
About Moving Elements
You can use ribbon options, keyboard actions, and on-screen element controls to move elements in the drawing area, either independently or in association with other elements.
Resizing Elements
To change the size or scale of elements, use shape handles or the Scale tool.
Trim and Extend Elements
Use the Trim and Extend tools to trim or extend one or more elements to a boundary.

About Shape Editing
You can use shape editing tools to manipulate the surface of a flat (non-sloped) floor or roof by defining high and low points for drainage. Shape editing tools are also used to create toposolid elements representing site features in models
Delete Elements
The Delete tool removes selected elements from the drawing, but does not paste deleted elements to the clipboard.
