Design a new title block to facilitate construction documentation.
Create a title block for your precast models in much the same way you create Revit title blocks. Use the supplied structural precast specific viewports and a set of common shared parameters to build your documentation. Title blocks should be placed in the Title Block directory under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2024 Release\Libraries\[LANGUAGE]\Structural Precast.
Note: Only title blocks that use the supplied precast specific viewports will be available when generating shop drawings.
Default Title Blocks
Pre-configured title blocks are found in a directory such as: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2024 Release\Libraries\[LANGUAGE]\Structural Precast; e.g. C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2024 Release\Libraries\US Metric Structural Precast\Title Blocks (for English Metric). These are ready to use or can be easily modified.
Load Structural Precast Viewports
The viewport family can now be added with the Symbol tool.
Place a Viewport in your Title Block
- In your title block family, click Create tab Detail panel

- Click in the title block to place the viewport.
- Select the viewport.
- (Optional) In the Properties palette, under Graphics, clear the Visible parameter.
- In the Properties palette, under Dimensions, specify the Width and Height parameters.
Shared Parameters
A shared parameter file is located in a directory such as: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2024 Release\Libraries\[LANGUAGE]\Structural Precast. The Shared_Parameters.txt file contains useful parameters for title block labels, such as:
- PosNoSheet: The position number of the element.
- ListOfProductionNumbers: The list of production numbers of the element on the sheet.
- NumberElementSheet: the number of elements that must be produced.
- ThicknessSheet: Thickness of the element.
- WeightSheet: Weight of the element.
- VolumeSheet: Concrete volume of the element.
