Issue: An analysis error may be caused by improper analytical surface assignments.
For example, a roof surface may be assigned as a ceiling or an exterior floor may be assigned as an interior floor.
Solution: Check the Function type property of the architectural element. Revit uses the Function type property to determine the type of analytical surface. For more information about the Function property, see About the Function of Walls and Floors for gbXML Export.
The Function setting may also be controlled automatically when the Building Envelope property is set in Energy Settings. For more information, see Advanced Energy Settings.
