Energy model creation can sometimes fail for a variety of reasons.
The following are some of the most common reasons for why the energy model wasn't created.
- None of the model elements are set to room bounding.
- The architectural model / elements are in a linked model and the link is not set to room bounding.
- Conceptual Mass mode is used to create the energy model, but the model has no Conceptual Masses. As a general rule, always use the Conceptual Mass and Building Element mode, as it can handle either/or together and is generally more robust.
- Architectural elements have been imported from IFC where they are created as in-place families (which are not used in energy model creation).
- The Project Phase in Energy Settings is not the same as the model's phase. They should be the same.
If these steps do not solve the problem or you experience other problems, contact insight.support@autodesk.com. If possible, include your model.
