Couldn't Upgrade Revit Cloud Models

One or more Revit cloud models in this project couldn't upgrade.

Issue: This could be due to an issue with the upgrade service or an issue with the model. When attempting to use the cloud model upgrade service in BIM 360, the following error message is displayed:

"The upgrade service cannot upgrade this model. It must be upgraded manually in order for the upgrade to succeed."

Causes: There are corrupt elements in the Revit model.

Solution:
  1. Open the model in Revit with Audit - fix any errors that appear.
  2. Sync and publish a new version to the cloud.
  3. Attempt model upgrade again.

If the above solution does not resolve the issue, try the following:

  1. Download a local copy of the models that are giving the error.
  2. Upgrade such models locally.
  3. Delete the faulty models from the BIM360 project.
  4. Upgrade the rest of models using BIM360.
  5. Then, publish the models that have been upgraded locally back to the project.
