Cloud model cache location
|
Select a folder on a fast local hard drive that provides as much space as possible for opening cloud models.
|
By default, the cloud model cache path is C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit.
To ensure good performance, choose a hard drive with at least 30 GB of free space. In addition:
- Don't select a portable USB flash drive.
- Don't select a UNC path, identifiable by two backslashes at the beginning of the file path, such as \\Server1\Share.
- Don't use the mapping for the UNC path.
- Don't select a cloud storage path (e.g., Autodesk Desktop Connector, Dropbox).
- Don't select a folder path name that is longer than 200 characters.
- Don't rename the cache folder after specifying its location.
The cloud model cache setting takes effect the next time you launch
Revit. The setting affects the current
Revit release only.
Note: The cache in the previous folder will not be moved or deleted. All cloud models opened in a new session will be recreated from the cloud and any un-synced local changes will no longer be available. Be sure to sync local changes in all your cloud models before closing the session. The Personal Accelerator Cache of the cloud model will not be affected.
