Place railings efficiently to reduce impact to performance.
The following considerations will help optimize a
Revit model when you place railings:
- Avoid use of railings for extensive fences or separation systems.
- Limit the visibility of railings where appropriate. Performance is impacted by railings because of the number of lines required to generate each railing element.
- If a lengthy railing element is desired, consider modeling a simplified railing representation, relying on railing details to fully describe the design.
- Like railings, stairs are complex elements, and are not easily simplified. Confine stair visibility to essential views.
