Workflow
Each stage of the simulation process has its own specific work flow:
- In the Setup phase, you define the analysis model. This typically requires several parameters, including materials, boundary conditions, and mesh settings.
- In the Solve phase, you define the physical model, specify how often results are saved, and run the simulation.
- In the Results phase, you visualize and extract simulation results.
- In the Compare phase, you iterate on the design, and use the Decision Center to assess results from multiple scenarios in the design study.
Autodesk® CFD provides two primary workflows for most tasks: Ribbon-centric and Model-centric. This flexibility provides several benefits:
- Maximized screen space for easier model interaction.
- Fewer workflow interruptions.
- Improved usability for all levels of users.
- Intuitive discoverability and accessibility of key workflow actions.
Model navigation is a fundamental workflow in Autodesk® CFD. It is essential for interacting with your model efficiently, and for nearly every part of the simulation process.
