Learn about the different visualization rendering modes in VRED.
For additional information on visualization rendering modes, see the Visualization Menu
Video captions: Both raytracing and OpenGL allow you to select several different render modes. The Available modes can be found under the Visualization menu. The standard mode is Realistic Rendering. This is the mode with the highest level of realism. In raytracing mode, you can also visualize your interactive render passes. In the Vertex/Face rendering mode, you can check the arrangement of the perpendiculars. Ambient Occlusion rendering shows you your shading and self-shading of objects. When working with photons, you can visualize your final gather map using Indirect Illumination. In OpenGL mode, you can view your pre-calculated indirect illumination. With the help of Surface Analysis Rendering, you can analyze your surface. Analytic Render mode enables high performance with average visual quality. In this mode, the headlight needs to be activated. Select the Non Photorealistic Rendering mode to create schematic renderings.
