In any VRED function that allows numerical input, you can use a mathematical expression in addition to numeric values.
Here is an example of using valid and relative operators: To divide a current value of 10 by 2, enter as 10/2 or /=2. The equal sign represents the current value.
Here is an example for multi-selection. Using an expression, such as +=100, adds 100 to the values of all selected nodes.
As for 2024, invalid operators and expressions cannot be entered into input fields.
In versions before 2024, if the expression is not valid, the input field has a yellow border. Once a valid expression is entered, the input field has the normal orange border when the mouse is hovered over it.
