Configure Exclude Path Settings in the Inventor Vault Add-in

Use the Exclude Paths settings in the Inventor Vault add-in to exclude folder path for large datasets, such as Revit files and point cloud files, during check in to Vault.

You can add, remove, or modify the excluded path under the Exclude Paths settings.

This feature is only available in the Inventor Vault Add-in. Only administrators, configuration administrators, or users with Vault Set Options permission can modify the Exclude Path.

Note: Excluding the folder path may lead to the loss of data during check in to Vault.

Add a folder path

1. Click to add a folder path you want to exclude. The "Add Folder Path" dialog box opens.
2. Enter the folder path or click button to browse the folder location. The 'Browse for Folder' dialog box opens.
   Note: You can enter multiple paths into the Folder path field. Right-click on the Folder path field to paste the copied path.
3. Navigate to the folder you want to add to the excluded paths list and click OK.
4. Click OK to save the changes.

Remove a folder path

1. In the Excluded Paths list, select the folder path to remove.
2. Click to remove the selected path.
   Note: Deleting a folder path from the excluded paths list only removes the item from the list. The actual folder is not deleted.
3. Click OK to save the changes.

Edit a folder path

1. In the Excluded Paths list, select the folder path to edit.
2. Click to modify the selected path. The "Add Folder Path" dialog box opens.
3. Edit the folder path or click button to browse the folder location.
4. Click OK to save the changes.
