Installation Notes

Install and License Methods Must Match Host Application

• AutoCAD Raster Design installation and licensing methods must match with the host AutoCAD-based product. For example, if you install the host application as a network installation, you must also install AutoCAD Raster Design as a network installation.

Installing AutoCAD Raster Design While an AutoCAD-based Product is Running

• Ensure that you close all AutoCAD-based products before installing AutoCAD Raster Design.

Starting AutoCAD Raster Design Using the Host Application's Desktop Icon

• Using the host application's icon (for example, AutoCAD or AutoCAD Map 3D) to launch the product and then switch to the Raster tab to use Raster Design after installing AutoCAD Raster Design.

AutoCAD Raster Design 2024 Incompatibility with 2023 Version of AutoCAD Products

• AutoCAD Raster Design 2024 cannot be installed on 2023 version of AutoCAD products.

Installing and Using in Multiple User Account Environment

• Background plotting does not show unsaved changes to an image. Save your images before any background plotting. For best results with TIFF images, save the image in an uncompressed and tiled format.

• You must repair or reinstall AutoCAD Raster Design 2024 if you repair or reinstall AutoCAD 2024 or other supported products.
