Use the Coordinate System Transformation Tool

Use the Coordinate System Transformation tool to perform horizontal transformations from one coordinate system to another.

1. Open a drawing with a defined coordinate system.
2. In Toolspace, on the Toolbox tab, expand Miscellaneous Utilities Drawing Transformations and double-click Coordinate System Transformation.

   The Coordinate System Transformation dialog box opens showing the current coordinate system.

3. Select the target geographical coordinate category.
4. Select the target coordinate system.
5. (Optional) To define how specific types of elements are affected during transformation, click Options to open the Transformation Options dialog box.
6. Click OK.
7. In the transformation prompt, click Transform the Model to allow the transformation; or click Cancel to close the transformation tool without making changes.

   COGO points move to the new coordinate system and you receive a message reporting how many points were moved.
