This option sets the work plane for defining or modifying a structure. Open the Work Plane dialog using either method:
This dialog has different options available, depending on the selected projection of the structure plane. For example, if the 3D frame is set in the projection on the XZ plane, the Work Plane dialog has only the Y coordinate unblocked (cleared). When you specify the Y coordinate (such as, Y=10), you can edit the 3D frame in the projection on the XZ plane so that the value of the Y coordinate is 10.
At the bottom of the dialog, the current vector coordinates are displayed. By selecting the Automatic update of working plane option, the position of the work point (position of the work plane) changes. The work point is assumed to be the recently defined point (such as, an end of a defined bar). When the Automatic update of working plane option is cleared, the point determining the work plane is defined in the dialog (and it does not change when defining structure elements).
