General information

Using the Steel Connections: Truss Chord Node, Single Bar extension, you can generate one of the following connection types:

• gusset plate - truss chord node
• gusset plate - single bar.

Options in this Help file refer to the first connection type. The gusset plate - single bar connection is a simplified version (with only one bar) of the first connection type.

At the top of the dialog are 2 selection lists:

• Number
• Name.

You can select a connection name and / or number from these lists or specify a new number or name.

At the bottom are 3 buttons:

• Apply - click it to generate a steel connection according to the specified parameters without closing the Define a Gusset-Plate connection dialog.
• OK - click it to generate a steel connection according to the specified parameters and close this dialog.
• Cancel - click it to close this dialog without generating a steel connection.
