The Final Drawings layout comprises final drawings of the reinforcement calculated for RC members. Drawings in this layout cannot be closed. You can access them anytime.
The Final Drawings layout contains specific options for working with drawings:
View menu
- Normal view - when you open a drawing of any element, the program opens the Final Drawings layout on the normal view. It is the general view of the contents of the entire drawing page. In normal view, you cannot insert, delete, or modify the contents of the drawing, but you can arrange and compose drawings for the final print-out format.
- Page Layout - in this mode, you can correct the arrangement and size of elements of a drawing (the viewport). To edit/resize an element, use the handles at the element corners. After you complete the modifications, go to another display mode in order for the software to regenerate the drawing and adjust the contents to the newly defined sizes of its elements.
- Drawing components - in this mode, the range of drawing elements and their contents are displayed. When you select an element of a drawing, it displays in red, and you can edit it:
- Change the drawing scale and section position.
- Select and edit the text (right-click and click Edit text)
- Delete text
- Move text - after you highlight text, click it and use the arrow cursor to move the text within the drawing element (viewport).
- Select and edit a dimension - position the cursor at the end of a dimension, and then change its length and value. For dimension chains, the neighboring dimensions are changed together with the edited one.
- Delete or move dimension lines (the option functions according to the same principle as text editing). When moving a dimension, you can only move it parallel to the original position.
- Add a line, circle, text, or dimension.
Note: After you complete the editing process, press ESC to be able to edit another drawing element (viewport).
- Final printout format - you can view the currently displayed drawings on a single common sheet. When you select this option, the software switches to another operation mode. The default final format is set to A4. To change the format size, click File menu > Page setup, and indicate the required paper format. Then, all loaded drawings will be arranged automatically.
- Arrange Drawings Automatically - use this option in conjunction with the final printout format option to automatically arrange drawings in a big format. If the automatic drawing arrangement does not meet your expectations, you can turn it off and arrange the drawings manually. After you select a drawing to move, press and hold the left mouse button as you drag the drawing to a new position.
Note: To situate a drawing precisely, press and hold CTRL as you drag the drawing.
Edit menu
- Undo, redo - these options allow you to undo or redo the last operation. You may lose the ability to scale the drawing elements (viewports) or insert a summary reinforcement table.
- Cut, paste - these are standard options, operating for the entire drawing. You can cut any drawing and paste it in a different location, on a different page. The operation is of particular use during the arrangement of drawings in bigger formats, when the number of pages is larger than 1.
Insert menu
- Drawing - if a drawing has been saved as a project component, use this option to call and insert a drawing or a list of drawings. After you insert a saved drawing, you cannot scale it or include it during the creation of a summary reinforcement table.
- New page - use this option to insert a blank page with the format defined in the Page Layout settings.
- Table - use this option to insert a table for the drawings in a larger format. You can modify the table provided with the program (the default.lay file in the USR folder) or you can define a new table by means of the PloEdit program.
- Summary reinforcement table - use this option after you complete the changes of drawing arrangement in big format. It creates a summary reinforcement table, referring to the active drawings, and automatically renumbers all the reinforcement positions in the drawings.
Printout in Big Format
The Page setup dialog displays the formats that are supported by the currently installed printer. The non-supported formats display as grayed. You can perform drawing arrangement for the grayed formats, but the preview and printing will be preceded by a message stating that the selected format is not supported.
If printer controllers are installed that service a printer not physically attached to the computer, the available formats will be described in red. The preview and printout will also be preceded by an appropriate message.
