The tab is available for Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis. It is not available for Autodesk Revit Structure.
Use the Code Parameters tab to define parameters that are required by a selected steel code. Options on this tab are determined by a code selected in the Job Preferences dialog.
Requirements of individual codes:
Eurocode 1993-1-8:2005
Use the options on the Code parameters tab to define the following code parameters:
- type of global structure analysis - as specified in Section [5.1] of the code
- parameters for calculation of connection rigidity.
You can also select a frame type (sway or non-sway). The beam length used in calculations equals to the real beam length.
CM66
Use the options on the Code parameters tab to define the following code parameters:
- Load distribution method (plastic or elastic) - select the method of distributing loads on successive bolt rows.
- Method of the column web verification - select the method according to the C.T.I.C.M recommendation (October 1997) or the NF method, CM66.
PN-90/B-03200
The options on the Code parameters tab are used to define the following code parameters:
- connection category (D, E or F)
- Multiply variable load - after selecting this option, the software considers the connection as a dynamically-loaded one.
- Friction coefficient (mi) - define it for F category connections as specified in Table Z2-1
- Conditional factor (alpha s) - select it based on the recommendations in Table 16
- Load distribution factors - Automatic calculation - after selecting this option, values of load distribution factors are specified automatically for individual bolt rows; these factors are specified based on recommendations in Table 17 (bending) and Figure 17 (tension); if Automatic calculation is cleared, you can define user load distribution factors (note that values of these factors should be in the interval (0,1] ).
