Use this option to display a legend for a defined structure. Parameter settings in the Legend dialog let you select description elements for your drawing. Depending on the display options selected, a legend might consist of a list of sections, groups, or case names. Open the Legend dialog by clicking View menu > Legend Parameters.
You can select the following options:
- Colors of sections, groups, materials, stories, bar types, and panels - When selected, Robot presents a list of colors assigned to the elements being displayed, such as sections, materials, stories, bars, and panels. Note: The list of colors is displayed in a legend, if the relevant display option is selected in theDisplay dialog.
- Cases - When selected, a list or a case name is presented when results display in diagrams or maps.
- Load symbols - When selected, a description of the types and the load unit is displayed. Note: Load symbols are presented in the legend, if the relevant display option is selected in the Display dialog.
- Reinforcement crosses - When selected, a description of the scale is presented when the display of reinforcement crosses is selected.
- Forces - When selected, Robot displays a description of the scale and the unit of the internal force diagram.
- Maximum and minimum values - When selected, Robot displays a description of the minimum and maximum values of a selected diagram.
- Description of diagrams on panel cuts - When selected, Robot displays a description of a diagram defined on a panel cut (the cut name, the quantity in the diagram, and a value of the integral for a selected component along the length of the cutting line).
- Reduced forces - When selected, Robot displays values of equivalent forces and moments in the global system reduced to the center of gravity of the panel cut. Values are displayed for a single case or combination and not for an envelope of cases.
- Simplified scale for maps - When selected, Robot displays a color scale with a description of values (Note: a number of colors is limited to 15); you can use this option to display maps on panels, but not for bars.
When you click Apply after selecting options in the dialog (
), the descriptions of the selected options are displayed in the legend. Clearing the options and clicking Apply removes the options from the legend.
At the bottom of the dialog are the following buttons:
- All - Selects all options in the Legend dialog.
- None - Clears all options in the in the Legend dialog.
