Synopsis

curveCVCtx([bezier=boolean], [degree=uint], [exists=boolean], [history=boolean], [image1=string], [image2=string], [image3=string], [multEndKnots=boolean], [name=string], [preserveShape=boolean], [rational=boolean], [refit=boolean], [symmetry=boolean], [uniform=boolean])

Note: Strings representing object names and arguments must be separated by commas. This is not depicted in the synopsis.

curveCVCtx is undoable, queryable, and editable.

The curveCVCtx command creates a new context for creating curves by placing control vertices (CVs).

Return value

string(name of the new context)

In query mode, return type is based on queried flag.

Curve degree
exists(ex) boolean create
Returns true or false depending upon whether the specified object exists. Other flags are ignored.
history(ch) boolean create
If this is a tool command, turn the construction history on for the tool in question.

First of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
image2(i2) string createqueryedit
Second of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.

Third of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
multEndKnots(me) boolean createqueryedit
Specify if multiple end knots are to be created.
name(n) string create
If this is a tool command, name the tool appropriately.
preserveShape(ps) boolean createqueryedit
Set this flag to make the operation preserve the shape
rational(rl) boolean createqueryedit
Should the curve be rational?
refit(rf) boolean createqueryedit
Set this flag to refit the curve
symmetry(sm) boolean createqueryedit
Specify if symmetry is to be used
uniform(un) boolean createqueryedit
Should the curve use uniform parameterization?
