Every AEC dimension style has an underlying AutoCAD dimension style, which controls settings that are not set directly in the AEC dimension style.
The AutoCAD dimension style defines the following properties:
- Color of dimension lines and extension lines
- Lineweight of dimension lines and extension lines
- Shape and size of dimension arrowheads
- Dimension text height and color
- Units, precision, and decimal separator symbol
The AEC dimension style defines the following properties:
- Number of dimension chains
- Dimensioned objects
- Distance between dimension chains
- Fixed or variable extension lines
- Display of opening height dimensions
