How shadows are calculated can be affected by the current rendering and drawing settings, and the objects in a 3D model.
The following outlines some of the conditions that could affect how shadows are calculated and rendered:
- Artifacts or shadows don't match up with the geometry. - Increase the current value of the FACETRES system variable.
- Image-based lighting is incorrect for the 3D model being rendered. - Select a different image-based lighting map or disable image-based lighting.
- Exposure is incorrect for the 3D model being rendered. - Increase the exposure to darken the rendered image and shadows, or decrease the exposure to brighten the rendered image and lighten up the shadows.
