The Specify Component Property Mapping step of the Extraction Template wizard captures which component properties must be updated.
By this time, you have extracted all the information the wizard needs. You now have to map the extracted text objects to the corresponding component properties in the BOM. The mappings are later saved to the extraction template. The BOM Extraction wizard uses these mappings to build the BOM from the information it extracts from the drawings it migrates.
In the wizard, displays the extracted text objects on one side , and the component properties on the other side. You can drag the text objects on to the corresponding component properties. The wizard visually indicates where the text objects come from and what component property they are mapped to.
What must you do if there are redundant text objects that do not map to any component properties? You simply let the unmapped text objects remain and you proceed. The wizard displays a warning message, but you continue nevertheless.
What must you do if you have not extracted all the information required for mapping? You click the Back button and go and back to the step where you capture the information.
