To have Power Snaps ignore an entity, add the entity to the Power Snap filter list.
The default settings for Power Snaps include the following filter list:
Attention: Do not remove these filters
- DIMENSION
- FEA
- HATCH (1)
- HATCH (2)
- SIMPLE WELD
- SYMBOLS
You can configure object snaps to ignore entities in a selected section of the drawing. For example, you can set an additional filter condition and have object snaps ignore lines within a selected block.
Example of Setting Filters In Drawing Blocks
If you want object snaps to ignore all lines and text strings contained in a specific block on your drawing. set the corresponding filter for object snaps:
- In the Power Snap Settings dialog box, click Filter.
- In the Entity Filter dialog box, click New.
- In the respective text boxes in the New Entity Filter dialog box, enter the following:
- Filter Name: Example_1
- Container Types: INSERT
- Type of entity: LINE,TEXT
- Layer: *
- Line Types: *
- Color: *
Note:
- Asterisk “*” means all lines, regardless of layer, linetype, or color.
- In the text boxes, you can enter more than one item. Separate items with a comma.
