To Add Selected Geometry as a View of an Existing Part/Feature (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. Click Content tabLibrary panelNew Content. Find
2. In the New Content dialog box, click Select objects.
3. Click , select the objects to add to the view, and press Enter.
4. Verify that the Open in Content Editor check box is selected.
5. Click OK. The geometry opens in the Content Editor.
6. Click Content Editor tabContent Views panelSave. Find

   The Save Content As dialog box displays.

7. In the Content panel of the Save Content As dialog box, select the part/feature you want to add the view to.
8. In the Save as section, specify a name for the new view.
9. In the View section, from the View list, select the name of the orthogonal view you are adding.
10. If the geometry represents is a sectional view, from the Type, list select the type of sectional view.

    If you are not creating a sectional view, select None.

11. Click Save Content.
