AM: Structure Tab of the Options Dialog Box (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

General
	Always enable structure for new drawings Automatically enables mechanical structure in a drawing at the time the drawing file is created. Note: This setting has no effect on new drawings based on a customized template that contains mechanical structure entities.
	Selection Mode Sets the default object selection mode for mechanical structure. Functions the same as the AMSSMODE command. In the top-down selection mode, the first click on an object selects the highest level component the object belongs to. If a component view is activated, the first click selects the highest level component with respect to the activated component view. Clicking the object again, selects the next level component. By default, the name of the selected entity is shown in a tooltip window as you click. The lowest level that can be selected is the elemental geometry. In bottom-up selection mode, the first click on an object always selects elemental geometry. Clicking the object again selects the next highest level component.
	Browser right-click menu for creation Maps the options in the submenu below the New right-click menu option in the mechanical browser to the AMSNEW command or AMSCREATE command.
	Browser right-click menu for insertion Maps the options in the submenu below the Insert right-click menu option in the mechanical browser to the AMSNEW command or AMSINSERT command.
	Hide options Displays a dialog box that where you can set the defaults for the AMSHIDE command.
Structure object type Provides options to customize AutoCAD Mechanical toolset ’s behavior when mechanical structure component views are created in response to a COPY, ARRAY, MIRROR or PASTECLIP command.
	Component instances Creates the component views as new component instances.
	Views of the original components Creates the component views as additional views of the component they were originally copied from.
	Do not prompt Prevents a dialog box from being displayed at the time the component views are created. This dialog box prompts you to select between the above two options at draw time.
Default Names Sets default names for the various mechanical structure entities that are created using the AMSNEW and AMSCREATE commands.
	Component Sets the default component name prefix. Can be left blank.
	Folder Sets the default folder name prefix. Can be left blank.
	View Contains a list of component view names to be used as default values at the time components or component views are created. The first component view to be created defaults to the first name in the list and the next component view, to the next in the list, and so on.
		Add Displays a dialog box that where you can add a new component view name to the list. The new name is inserted above the component view name that is selected in the list.
		Remove Deletes the selected component view name.
		Move Up Moves the selected component view name one level up.
		Move Down Moves the selected component view name one level down.
Annotation View Sets the default annotation view identifier. Can be left blank.
