Calculate

Suggests a scale factor for a drawing section or for the size of the existing objects in the drawing of a pre-selected border. The calculated scale factor appears in the scale box. The Calculate option is not available in layout.

Options

Set Base Scale Factor

When selected, the section scale factor is stored in the configuration as base scale factor (only in Model space).

Set Drawing Defaults

Sets grid, snap, limits, linetype scale, and other options, to the default values that correspond to the selected scale factor you selected. Affects the following system variables:
  • CHAMFERA
  • CHAMFERB
  • FILLETRAD
  • GRIDUNIT
  • SNAPUNIT
  • LUPREC
  • LTSCALE

Perform Rescale

Adjusts text, symbols, dimensions, tables, and other elements to conform to the changed scale factor.

Move Objects

Places existing objects in the drawing editor within the inserted drawing border. If you select the Automatic Placement option as well, selected objects move to the center of the border.

Automatic Placement

Moves selected objects to the center of the border. Selects all objects located within an inserted drawing border automatically, if the Objects to Rescale: Automatic Selection option is selected in the Drawing Sheet Settings dialog box (accessed through the AM:Standards tab of the Options dialog box). If no border exists, selects all objects. If objects are outside the border, clear the Automatic Selection check box in the Drawing Sheet Settings dialog box (accessed through the AM:Standards tab of the Options dialog box). Otherwise, the objects outside the border are not part of the selected border.

Thaw All Layers

Selects all layers containing objects, moves them into the border, and thaws them. Restores the state of the layers when complete.

Retrieve from Part Reference

Retrieves values for the title block from the part reference. If the drawing contains more than one part reference, select the part reference.

Retrieve from Assembly Properties

Retrieves values for the title block from the assembly property.

Import

Displays a list of files ending with .tit. When you import files from an external location or if you frequently use drawing border and title block entries you may want to import the title block and border information from an external file. This import file is the interface for the drawing administration.
