Use the Belt and Chain Length Calculation dialog box to choose a chain, a pulley, or a sprocket from the library and to determine the setting in the drawing.
New Tangent Definition Between Sprocket/Pulley Defines a new tangent definition. This option is activated when no tangent definition exists in the drawing. |
Belt Chooses a belt from the library. |
Chain Chooses a chain from the library. |
Move Manual Enables manual movement of the pitch circles. |
Length Calculation Calculates the length of the belt or chain polyline. |
Auto. Optimization Optimizes the belt or chain geometry. Options let you move pitch circles in different directions. |
Sprocket/Pulley for Move/Rotation>> Determines the pitch circles that are to be moved. If this option is not selected, the pitch circles that do not contain tangent information, or the one that was selected before are moved. In practical operation this is usually the chain adjuster or the belt tightener. |
Move Prescribes a movement along a straight line. |
Direction for Move >> Prescribes the direction of the movement. Select this option to redefine the predefined direction of movement. |
Rotation Determines a center point around which the movement takes place. Determines a rotational movement. |
Center Point for Rotation >> Redefines the center point of the rotational movement. |
Required Length Displays the required setting value for the length of belts or chains. |
Required Number of Links Displays the required number of links along the drawn polyline. |
