To Create a Construction Line at a Preset Distance From a Selected Line (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. Click Home tabConstruction panelConstruction LinesParallel with Full Distance. Find
2. Select an xline, a ray, or a line.
3. Specify an insertion point, or enter a distance value.
4. If you entered a distance value in step 4, specify the side to offset the construction line from the base line.

Note:

The construction line is drawn at the preset distance from the selected line.
