To Disable or Enable the Creation of Content on Standard Part Layers (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
2. Select the AM:Content tab.
3. To disable creation of content on standard part layers, clear the Draw standard/custom parts on standard parts layers check box.

   To enable creation of content on standard part layers, select the Draw standard/custom parts on standard parts layers check box.

4. Click OK until all dialog boxes close.

Note: By creating content on layers other than standard part layers you lose the ability to turn on/turn off the visibility of standard parts
