Use the Screw Calculation dialog box to calculate factors of safety for parts of a screw connection. You can perform the calculation on an existing screw connection in the drawing or on a screw connection that you define in this dialog box.
Screw Calculation - Screw Defines the geometry and material for the screw. If you start the Screw Calculation from the Screw Connection function, changing the geometry of the screw in this dialog box is not possible. |
Screw Calculation - Nut Defines the geometry of the nut. The material of the nut is the same as that of the screw. If you start the Screw Calculation from the Screw Connection function, changing the geometry of the nut in this dialog box is not possible. |
Screw Calculation - Washers Defines the geometry and material for the washer. If you start the Screw Calculation from the Screw Connection function, changing the geometry of the washer in this dialog box is not possible. |
Screw Calculation - Plates Defines the geometry and material for the plates. If you start the Screw Calculation from the Screw Connection function, changing the geometry of the plates in this dialog box is not possible. |
Screw Calculation - Contact Area Defines the type of contact area. You can use one of the predefined contact areas or specify your own contact area. |
Screw Calculation - Loads Defines the forces acting in the screw connection. |
Screw Calculation - Settlement Specifies the settlement in the screw connection. You can define the settlement manually or calculate it from the maximal roughness in the screw connection. |
Screw Calculation - Tighten Defines the tightening force used for tightening the parts of the screw connection. |
Screw Calculation - Results Displays the results of the screw calculation. You can save these results to a text file. |
