AMCONSTPAR2 (Command)

Creates a construction line that is parallel to a selected line at a distance that is half of the value you specify.

Find

Summary

You can switch between a ray and an xline by specifying turning the Ray Mode off and on (AMCONSTSWI command, Find). A ray is a construction line extending to infinity in one direction only. An xline is a construction line extending to infinity in both directions. When the ray mode is turned on the icon for this command changes to Find.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Select line, ray, or xline
Specifies the line that the construction line is parallel to.
Distance
Specifies where to draw the construction line. The distance to the construction line is exactly half the value you specify. You can draw multiple construction lines by specifying multiple distances separated by the | character.
Second point
Specifies where to draw the construction line by specifying a point in the drawing area. The construction line is drawn through the midpoint of an apparent line connecting the specified point to the selected line.
