Draws a construction line that passes through a specified point and is perpendicular to the direction specified by another point or angle.

Find

Summary

You can switch between a ray and an xline by specifying turning the Ray Mode off and on (AMCONSTSWI command, Find). A ray is a construction line extending to infinity in one direction only. An xline is a construction line extending to infinity in both directions. When the ray mode is turned on the icon for this command changes to Find.

The following prompts are displayed.

Base point for perpendicular line

Specifies the point the construction line passes through.

Second point

Specifies the direction the construction line is perpendicular to, by specifying a point in the drawing area.

Angle

Specifies the direction the construction line is perpendicular to, by specifying the direction as an angle from the X axis. You can draw multiple construction lines by specifying multiple angles separated by the | character.
