Save Content As Dialog Box (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

USe this dialog box to save the content in the content editor as well as meta data about the content to be saved.

Content panel

Contains a content tree for navigating custom libraries, folders, and parts.

 

New Library

Add a new library under Custom Content node.

Opens the Save Content As-New Library dialog box. Use to specify the name of the library (.GDB) file, a library name, and a location to save the library file.

 

New Folder

Add a new folder to a library or folder.

 

Delete

Delete a selected node under custom content.

 

Move Up

Move the selected node under custom content up the sequence.

 

Move Down

Move the selected node under custom content down the sequence.

 

Search

Provides the ability to search for custom content by keyword. Separate multiple keywords with spaces.

 

Starts the search, beginning from the item selected in the tree.

Note:

If the item you are looking for is above the current selection, it will not be found.

 

Displays the Search Options dialog box, enabling you to specify how the search is performed.

 

Right-click menu items (Custom Content node)

 

New Library

Add a new library under Custom Content node. This option performs the same action as clicking the New Library icon on the Content toolbar.

 

Right-click menu items (Library and Folder node)

 

New Folder

Add a new folder to a library or folder.
 

Rename

Select to change the name of a library or folder.
 

Delete, Move up, Move down, Cut, Copy, Paste

You can also use the menu to delete, move, cut, copy, or paste libraries or folders.

Details panel

Displays the preview thumbnails for the contents of the currently selected node.

 

Address Bar

Displays the path to the current selection in the Content panel as a series of links separated by arrows. You can change the current selection by selecting a new path from the menu that is displayed when you click an arrow within the Address bar.
 

Right-click menu items

 

Change Thumbnail

Displays the Select Thumbnail dialog box, which enables you to select a BMP, JPEG, or SLD file. The default format is BMP.
 

Restore Default Thumbnail

Restores the default folder, content, or view thumbnail. Once restored, the option is disabled when right-clicking on the same folder, content, or view.
 

Preview

Displays an enlarged image of the selected view.
 

View Options

Displays the Options dialog box, which enables you to define the size of thumbnails and specify how they should be displayed.
 

Rename

Displays the Save Content As - Rename View dialog box, which is used to rename an existing view. Choose a predefined or custom name for the view.

Save as

 

New part/feature

Select to enter a new part or feature. By default, the text box is populated. Accept the default name or enter a new name.
 

Existing part/feature

Select to display the name of the part or feature to which the view will be saved.

View

 

Predefined

Select to choose a predefined view name for the view. View lists available base view types. Views used by the current part are not listed. Type lists available sub view types. Type used by the current view are not listed.
 

Custom

Select to enter a custom name for the view. By default, the text box is populated. Accept the default name or enter a new name.

Save Content button

Click to save the view.
