To Copy Shaft Segments (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. Click Home tabModify panelCopy. Find
2. Select the segment you want to copy.
3. Select the target shaft. This prompt is used to determine on which shaft (if there is more than one in the drawing) you want to insert the copy.
4. Specify the position on the shaft where you want to insert the copy. The copy can also be swapped or mirrored if needed.

Note:

If you move the copied shaft segment over the existing shaft you can choose the insertion mode in an AutoCAD request dialog:

• Insert: The copy is inserted on the shaft next to the segment you have selected. If this segment has the same diameter the copied segment is added to the existing one.
• Overdraw: The copy overdraws the selected segment.
