File Search Dialog Box (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Use this dialog box to search for files by name, location, and date modified filters. This dialog box is available through the File Search right-click menu option, which is available in all file panels in the structure catalog dialog box.

Search options Contains the criteria to base the search on.
	Search name Specifies the names or partial names of the files to search for. When specifying multiple names, enclose each name in quotation marks and separate them with a comma (,) or a semicolon (;). The following wild card characters can be used to refine your search:
		* - Matches any string and can be used anywhere in the search string. ? - Matches any single character and can be used anywhere in the search string; for example, A?C matches AAC, ABC, and so on.
	Type Specifies the type of files to include in the search.
	Look in Specifies the location to search. Type the name of a location, select a location from the list, or click Browse to navigate to a location. When specifying multiple locations, enclose each location in quotation marks and separate them with a comma (,) or a semicolon (;).
	Browse Displays the Browse for Folder dialog box. Use to navigate to the location to search.
	Include subfolders Expands search to all subfolders under the Look In location.
	Date options Displays a set of filters to base the search on a file's creation or modified date.
		All files Searches for files without applying a date filter.
		Find all files created or modified Limits the search to files modified or created within a specific time frame.
			Between Restricts search to files created or modified between two dates. Enter the dates or click the arrows to choose dates from a calendar. To navigate the calendar, use the left and right arrows, or click the month and year.
			During the previous [number] months Restricts search to files created or modified during the specified number of months.
			During the previous [number] days Restricts search to files created or modified during the specified number of days.
Search Begins search based on the specified criteria.
Stop Terminates the search operation.
New Search Clears the search results and resets all search criteria.
Search results Displays a list of all the files found by the search. Click a column header to sort by that column. Double-click a file to highlight it in the structure catalog.
