AMTAPETHREAD2D (Command)

Inserts a tapered hole that contains external threads.

Summary

A wizard enables you to select the type, the view, and the diameter of the hole to insert. In the front view, you drag to specify the length. A tooltip displays the size as you drag. Only the holes listed as standard content are available with this command. Use the AMCONTENTLIB command to access custom content.

Use the Select a Taper External Thread dialog box to select the type and the view to insert. Depending on the selected view there are differences in the insertion process:

Insertion point

Specifies where to insert the hole.

Rotation angle

Specifies how far to rotate the hole about its insertion point.

Drag size

Specifies the depth of the hole.
