Blackmagic Design

Blackmagic Design Desktop Video

Flame Family 2025.1 Update supports the Blackmagic Design Desktop Video version 14.0.1 on Linux and macOS. This update contains the following changes:

  • Support for Rocky Linux 9.3
  • 12-bit 4:4:4 UHDTV Preview is now Full Range when using a Blackmagic Design DeckLink preview card.

Please download this driver update for Linux and macOS from the Blackmagic Design Support website.

Blackmagic Design Desktop Video 14.0.1 is also compatible with the 2024.x versions of Flame Family products.

Blackmagic Design Desktop Video SDK

Flame Family 2025.1 Update supports the Blackmagic Design Desktop Video version 14.0 SDK on Linux and macOS. This update does not contain any visible changes.

Blackmagic Design Desktop Video SDK 14.0 is also compatible with the 2024.x versions of Flame Family products.

NDI

Flame Family 2025.1 Update supports NDI SDK 6.0.1. NDI 6.0.1 is a bug fixes update with no user facing capabilities. See the NDI website for more details.

Web-based Screen Sharing using NDI

It is possible to perform NDI screen sharing using a web browser to remote Windows computers with NDI Tools installed. Follow these steps:

  1. Open your web browser and go to remote.ndi.tv
  2. Select the window or the screen you want to share
  3. Press the Share link
  4. Send the shared link
  5. On the client side, open the link with Studio Monitor

NDI Tools are available at ndi.tv/tools.

Preferences

The Auto SDI Acquire setting, which was used when running multiple Flame Family products at the same time, has been removed from the Broadcast Monitor Preferences.
