AJA SDK 17.1

Flame Family 2025.2 Update supports the AJA SDK 17.1 on Rocky Linux and macOS.

Rocky Linux: the AJA driver 17.1 is installed with DKU 19.2.
macOS: download the AJA Software installer 17.1 from the AJA website.

The driver is also compatible with the 2024.x and 2025.x versions of Flame Family products, but only for Rocky Linux 8.5 and 8.7. The 2024.x versions are not supported on Rocky Linux 9.3.

AJA KONA X

The AJA KONA X desktop SDI 12G & & HDMI 2.0 Preview card is supported on macOS and Rocky Linux (8.x and 9.3). KONA X is AJA's next-generation desktop I/O card with the following capabilities:

4-lane PCIe 3.0
Full size 12-G SDI and HDMI 2.0 connectors
Low latency sub-frame latency
4K/UHDTV/HD & SD support (4:2:2 / 4:4:4 + 12-bit)
- Monitoring UHD or 4K High Frame Rate over HDMI requires an HDMI 2.0 monitor to avoid colour shift.
HDR (DolbyVision, HLG, PQ)

Note: AJA SDK 17.0.1 & KONA X support is also available in Flame Family 2024.2.3 and DKU 18.2.3.

Note: VTR I/O capabilities using the KONA X card are not supported in Flame Family products.

Blackmagic Design Desktop Video 14.2

Flame Family 2025.2 Update supports the Blackmagic Design Desktop Video version 14.2 on Rocky Linux and macOS.

Please download this driver update for Rocky Linux and macOS from the Blackmagic Design Support website.

Blackmagic Design Desktop Video 14.2 is also compatible with the 2024.x and 2025.x versions of Flame Family products.
