Supported Operating Systems

Flame Family 2025.2 Update supports the following operating systems:

macOS:

  • macOS 12
  • macOS 13
  • macOS 14
  • macOS 15

Linux:

  • Rocky Linux 8.5
  • Rocky Linux 8.7
  • Rocky Linux 8.10
  • Rocky Linux 9.3

Rocky Linux 8.10

All qualified workstations supporting Rocky Linux 8.5 and 8.7 now also support Rocky Linux 8.10.

The installation process for Rocky Linux 8.10 is similar to that of Rocky Linux 8.5 and 8.7. If you want to upgrade from Rocky Linux 8.5 or 8.7 to Rocky Linux 8.10, use the EasyUpgrade script available in the DKU 19.2.

Additional Support

Rocky Linux 8.10 is not supported on every Flame Family release. If you plan to install Rocky Linux 8.10 and need legacy Flame Family products alongside the 2025.2 Update, use the installer for the following updates:

  • 2024.2.4
  • 2025.0.4
  • 2025.1.2

AWS Base AMI

The AWS base AMI has been updated to the following:

  • Rocky Linux 9.3
  • DKU 19.2
  • NVIDIA driver 550.90.10
  • EFA: 1.33
  • Support for AWS G6e Instances (g6e.8xlarge). For more information, visit the AWS website.
    • The G6e instances use NVIDIA L40S Tensor Core GPU (Ada Generation) with 48 GB of VRAM and 2.9x faster GPU memory bandwidth compared to G6 instances. G6e instances deliver up to 2.5x better performance compared to G5 instances. For more information, visit the NVIDIA website.
