STMap (What's New in 2025)

Use the STMap node to either undistort or distort a clip by means of an STMap clip. This STMap clip can originate from another application or from the STMap or Inverse STMap outputs of a Lens Distortion node. In the latter instance, the STMap node is applied to either undistort a different clip or to reintroduce distortion to a clip previously undistorted using the Lens Distortion node.

With the introduction of the new STMap node, the UVWarp32 matchbox shader is no longer available. Setups from older versions containing that node will still load properly.

Highlights include:

  • Read Display and Data Window from a clip.
  • Selection of the repeat mode.
  • Selection of the filtering, including the new Mitchell-Netravali and Catmull-Rom filters.

For more information, see STMap.

Colour Source

An STMap containing no transformation values can be generated using the new STMap option.

  • The Tagged Colour Space is automatically set to UV and cannot be modified.
  • The bit depth is automatically set to 32-bit fp, but this value can be modified.
