Add a transition symbol

The Property Panel workflow is progressive and flows from top to bottom of the panel. Selected parameters affect the feature and set the context for the following sections in the panel.

Transition symbol is not allowed to be renamed in panel, and there is not a browser node for the transition symbol.

  1. On the ribbon, click Annotate tab Symbols panel Transition Symbol .
  2. Select a face, an edge, or an empty space. Based on the selection, the Indication options are displayed.

    Indication options when a face is selected:

    • Enables to define several toleranced features.

    Indication options when an edge is selected:

    • No symbol indication.
    • The symbol is horizontally adjacent.
    • The symbol is vertically adjacent.
    • Enables to define several toleranced features.

    Indication options when a sheet is selected:

    • Symbol defined for all transitions.
    • Symbol defined for external transitions.
    • Symbol defined for internal transitions.
    • Specify additional specific transition indications presented in the drawing.
    • Specify additional specific transition indications within parentheses.
  3. (Optional) Check the box to combine maximum material and least material radius boundary specification.
  4. (Optional) Click the icon to add the plus and minus signs to the symbol.
  5. (Optional) If the symbol values are used often, save them as a named preset. To save as a preset, in the preset field click and accept the default name or specify one based on your naming conventions.

  6. Click OK to place the symbol.
  7. Continue placing symbols. When you finish, right-click, and click Cancel.
