You can associatively import View representations. You assign a View representation to a subassembly at any level in the assembly hierarchy and make it associative. Changes to the View are represented in higher-level assemblies that contain the subassembly.
- In the assembly browser, right-click the subassembly, and then select Edit.
- In the active subassembly, right-click the Representation folder, and then select Representation.
- In the Representation dialog box, click the arrow to select a View representation from the list.
- Select the Associative check box, and then click OK. If applicable, choose one:
- If another designer created the View representation, you are asked to confirm. Select Modify View Representation to change and maintain associativity.
- To modify the View representation temporarily while you edit the subassembly, choose Remove Associativity.
- Modify the View representation as desired by changing component visibility or enabled status.
- Click Save to save the assembly.
