In this streamlined workflow, you select a component, save a copy of that component, and replace all instances of the component within the assembly with the newly created copy while maintaining all assembly constraints.

- On the ribbon, click
Assemble tab

Save and Replace All
.
- Click to select a component.
Note: You can also save and replace all instances of a sub-assembly. To save and replace a sub-assembly, first select the sub-assembly, and then click
Save and Replace All.
- Optionally, in the Create Part or Create Assembly dialog box, modify the name for the copied component or sub-assembly.
- Click Save to save a copy of the selected file and replace all instances of the selected component with the newly saved copy.
Note: To select an alternative folder, use the Save in drop-down selection list on the Create Part dialog box before you click Save.
