To work with Locating Rings

Create a locating ring

1. In the Mold Assembly tab, click Locating Ring.

2. In the Locating Ring dialog box, select a locating ring type in the drop-down list.

3. In the table next to the component image, modify the parameters.

4. Select the Placement type.

   • Select Concentric to specify a concentric reference.
   • Select Sprue Bushing to align with an existing sprue bushing.

5. Select the Base Face and choose Flip Locating Ring if required.

6. Select the Concentric Reference if required.

7. In Offset, enter a value to move the locating ring along the Z axis.

8. Click Apply to place another locating ring or click OK to finish.

Edit a locating ring

1. In the Mold Design browser, right-click the Locating Ring node, and then click Edit Feature.
2. In the Locating Ring dialog box, modify the parameters.
3. Click OK.

Delete a locating ring

• In the Mold Design browser, right-click the Locating Ring node, and then click Delete.
