Export files with Autodesk Translation Framework (ATF)

You can use the ATF (Autodesk Translation Framework) file translation system to export Autodesk Maya and 3rd-party file formats.

Note: Maya support for ATF is Windows only.

1. Select File > Export All/Export Selected > . The Maya Export options appear.
2. Select from the following ATF file types in the File Type menu:
   • IGES_ATF
   • JT_ATF
   • DXF_ATF
   • PARASOLID_ATF
   • SAT_ATF
   • STEP_ATF
   • STL_ATF
   • WIRE_ATF
   • INVENTOR_ATF
   • CATIAV5_ATF
   • DWG_ATF / DXF_ATF
   • NX_ATF
3. Select any of the Export preferences available:
   • Default file extensions:

     When on (default), exports the file with the extension for the selected File type.

   • Preserve references:

     If Preserve Reference is turned on, the references within the exported file are preserved. If it is turned off, all references are exported within the file; that is, they are no longer references, but are now objects in the scene. The default is off.

   • Export unloaded references:

     Exports any unloaded reference files associated with the current scene.

4. Click Export.
