To run a Cooling Channel Optimization

Run a Cooling Channel Optimization analysis to alter cooling channel layouts, to reduce cavity surface temperature, cycle time and improve part quality. A well-designed cooling system can result in considerable savings in cycle time.

  1. Open a model.

  2. Click analysis sequence (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Analysis Sequence).

  3. Select Cooling Channel Optimization from the Select analysis sequence list, and then click OK.

    Once the analysis finishes the results appear in the Analysis Log.

  4. Click analyze (Home tab > Analysis panel > Analyze).
